Omakase Counter Experience

We practice omakase service at an intimate counter in West Hollywood. Each guest receives a sequence of nigiri and small plates chosen by the chef that day, with fish sourced from Toyosu Market and rice seasoned in the Edomae style.
The counter is where our chefs connect directly with each guest. You see the knife work, the rice being shaped, and the final brush of nikiri before each piece arrives.
Return to our Sushi Ginza Onodera homepage for restaurant hours, location, and chef background. View the seasonal omakase menu or book through Reservations.
Omakase at Sushi Ginza Onodera takes place at an eight-seat counter in West Hollywood. Guests watch each piece being formed, brushed, and placed in front of them in a steady rhythm set by the kitchen.

We look forward to welcoming you to our counter for an omakase meal in Los Angeles.
The Counter Experience
Seating wraps around the sushi bar so every guest has a clear view of the itamae. The team works in quiet coordination, passing fish from the prep area and placing each course at the right moment. For details on Edomae technique, see our Edomae Sushi page.
What to Expect
Most seatings include 18 to 22 pieces plus small plates that change with the season. The chef may adjust the pace if you prefer a slower or faster flow.
Before You Arrive
Arrive on time for your reservation. Let the team know about allergies when you book. Photography is welcome, but please keep flash off so nearby guests can enjoy the counter.
